Glasgow Rangers go into the match on the back of a 3-0 thumping from Arsenal and will be given another stern test tonight.
Kolo Toure has recovered from a knock he suffered against Barnsley at the weekend and should feature along with Adebayor, however Carlos Tevez will not feature. Gareth Barry is still recovering from injury, yet has taken part in training and may feature at some point.
City manager Mark Hughes said: "We have got issues with injuries. Carlos (Tevez) is not training with the group yet and won't travel, but Gareth (Barry) will train and we'll look to introduce him at some stage. Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor are available and will take part.
"The players are at different levels because some were still playing internationals in June. You have to be conscious of that. Some will have the majority of the game and others will play a part."
The game kicks off at 7.45pm
