Manchester City are reported to be in “advanced” discussions with Arsenal over the proposed transfer of Emmanuel Adebayor.
Last month Wenger believed that Adebayor would be staying at the club: “If he doesn't want to stay, he will leave. But I think that he will be still at Arsenal this season." However according to sky sports news negotiations are said to be at a significant level between the Premiership rivals.

See Adebayor's goals
The 25 year old Togo international has scored 46 goals in 146 appearances for the Gunners. It would be a major shock if City were to sign Adebayor after their capture of Cruz and the reported signing of Tevez who is to have a medical today.
See Adebayor's all round play
It is also being reported that Adebayor is being offered £170k per week to join City. Until this moment right now - I have just shrugged my shoulders at the stick City have been given regarding the money alledged to have been offered to the likes of Tevez and Terry - market forces are what they are -there aren't two Terry's - but £170k double your money offer for Adebayor? I rate the player but if he doesn't make it, we'll never sell him - Danny Mills anyone?
