It has now been widely reported that the England Captain is demanding a meeting with Roman Abramovich regarding Chelsea’s future. Terry has become restless in part to Chelsea’s failure to land a big name signing this summer. Actually, their last big name signing was Andrei Shevchenko from Milan in May 2006 for £30 million.

With Terry’s continued silence on his future and his demand to see the owner of the club (despite meeting with manager Carlo Ancelotti), bookmakers have lowered Terry’s price to leave Chelsea to 11/5. After the talks with Ancelotti on Thursday the original price of Terry leaving was 5/1. Today Terry’s price to stay at Chelsea is at a high of 9/1 (Betfair).
Stamford Bridge chiefs plan to meet Terry and his advisors by Monday to try to thrash out a deal to keep him. In which he would stand to receive a £25k rise. Chelsea have penciled in a news conference with Ancelotti at the start of next week and hope a joint appearance with Terry will finally bring this transfer saga to an end.
